Release Day Review: Ten Mile Bottom by Teodora Kostova (Review+Teasers+Giveaway)

Ten Mile Bottom

by Teodora Kostova

Hitting rock bottom is just the beginning...

I’m a son, a brother, a friend.

A writer.

An addict.

Cardiac arrest isn’t enough to keep me dead, though. The doctors brought me back, but for what?

At twenty four I’ve already achieved what most people do in a life time. I’m a successful author, own a flat in the heart of London and drive my dream sports car.

Or at least that’s what people see.

Once the spotlight fades, I’m left alone with my overactive mind, alcohol and drugs the only way to quiet down the noise.

Until an overdose nearly kills me and drags everyone I love down with me.

With the help of my best friend, I leave London and its toxic influence behind, moving to a small town in the outskirts of Cambridge to try and put my life back together again.

If only it were that easy.

Author: C. J. Lynne

Publisher: Self-published

Cover Artist: C. J. Lynne

Genre/s: LGBTQ, Romance, Erotic.

Length: 101 000 words/234 print pages.

It can be read as a standalone story.

Two self-assured men are about to find out what happens when they come face-to-face with what neither realizes they’re searching for…each other.

Ben Jameson is a very successful club owner who likes things the way he likes them.  He tried the serious relationship routine a few years ago, and that ended badly. Since then, he’s put in place carefully-constructed rules that he steadfastly lives by:  Work hard, treat people fairly and absolutely no fooling around with his employees—ever.  However, when his new head bartender waltzes into his life, Ben finds it nearly impossible to deny his attraction to the carefree, handsome man who makes him want to shatter his own rules, take a walk on the wild side, and live a little…if he dares.

Jared Jensen has moved to California from Chicago seeking a brand new start.   In Chicago, he left behind an unsettling situation that caused monumental upheaval in his life.  The very last thing on his mind is getting involved with anyone…but then he meets Ben Jameson, and all bets are off.  Not even the fact that Ben is his new boss can deter Jared from honing in on the gorgeously frustrating man who’s determined to keep their relationship on a strictly professional level.

As resolute as Ben is to keep Jared at arms’ length, Jared’s doubly focused on getting Ben to acknowledge—and surrender to–the palpable lust exploding between them.  All he wants is a chance to show Ben how good they can be together…and he won’t rest until Ben breaks his ridiculous rules and grabs the unexpected chance they’ve both been given to find a love unlike any other.

What Jared doesn’t count on, though, is his past coming back to savagely bite him, just as Ben decides to give their relationship a chance.   An impossible decision soon looms before Jared: Will he have to leave the one man who means everything to him in order to keep him safe?

Audiobook Review Tour: Under the Boardwalk by Felice Stevens (Giveaway)

Narrated By: Nick J Russo

Cover Design: Reese Dante

Photo: Eric McKinney @ Cover'd By 6:12

Length: 3hrs 56 minutes

Beneath the famous Brooklyn landmark, love is hidden but not denied: All his life, Alexi Kharpov has dreamed of traveling to unknown exciting places instead of working at his family’s frozen custard stand on the famous Coney Island boardwalk. Every year is the same until a gorgeous man picks a spot in front of his stand to sing, captivating him with his beautiful voice. After two summers of listening, it might finally be time for him to cross that boardwalk and take a chance.

Opera singer Cameron Maxwell has traveled the world, but the sight of the beautiful man serving custard to tourists touches his heart like nothing ever has before. A summer fling might be exactly what he needs to put his problems out of his mind, but the last thing Cam expects is to want the summer to last forever.

It’s a season of discovery for both men who learn to dig deep within their heads and hearts to decide whether secrets old and new should remain buried, or if love is too important to keep hidden under the boardwalk.

Virtual Book Tour: One Under by JL Merrow (Giveaway)

Hi, I’m JL Merrow, and I’m delighted to be here today as part of the blog tour to celebrate the release of One Under, the second of my contemporary MM romances in the multi-author Porthkennack series. One Under features a romance between two characters readers of my first Porthkennack book, Wake Up Call will have already met: Mal Thomas and Jory Roscarrock—although you’d be forgiven for not recalling Jory’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in Wake Up Call!

About One Under

London Underground worker Mal Thomas is staying in Porthkennack to recover from a traumatic experience. Getting more bad news from home is the last straw—until big, blond museum curator Jory Roscarrock steps up to offer some comfort.

As a doctor of English literature, Jory should be in a prestigious post at a top university. But a youthful indiscretion led him to abandon academia to come back to his hometown, Porthkennack, and the controlling family he’s never really felt a part of. He’s delighted to find a kindred spirit in Mal.

But Jory’s family hurt Mal’s best friend deeply, and while Jory is desperate to repair the damage, his own mistakes threaten to keep him and Mal apart. Meanwhile, Mal is torn between his feelings for Jory and his duty to his friend—and his fears that a failed relationship could be more than his shattered confidence can take. Jory must convince Mal it’s worth risking everything for their love.

Guest Post: Staggered Cove Station by Elle Brownlee

Hello, hello! I'm Elle Brownlee and it's great to be here to share something about my latest book with you. Staggered Cove Station is a romantic suspense with hunky Coast Guard heroes, and I couldn't be happier about that.

It's the first book in my new Coast Guard Rescue series. Each book will feature different characters in different locations, but I knew I had to start in Alaska. There are myriad reasons why!

I wanted to open the CGR series with a bang, really set my heroes against the elements, and make the landscape as much a character as the station crew. Alaska was the perfect fit, just begging to be that place. The Coast Guard station needed to be remote, and the rescue work a high-stakes challenge, but worth every bit of effort given to it--no better than to put it in Alaska. I love the great outdoors and all things wild, and it doesn't get much outdoorsier or wilder than Alaska. Alaska is high on my bucket list of places to visit (there's 20 [20!] glorious National Park sites in Alaska, each remoter than the last) so this way I got to pore over pictures and maps and videos for "research." And I wanted somewhere that felt far away and completely different to Dan--a rescue swimmer on a secret mission newly transferred to Staggered Cove--while still being somewhere he could report for duty and somehow make into a home.

Hope you enjoy the adventure--and the read!

<3 Elle

Release Date: March 21, 2018

That's what it's all about here.

I'd do anything for one of my brothers,
Even go with his old lady to a parent-teacher conference.
But when I see the sweet little number who's the teacher,
Suddenly, school's right up my alley.
She's innocent, naive, and sexy as Hell.
Damn, I just want in her pants,
And to maybe teach her a thing or two.
And I'm not backing down,
I'll get to her.
But if she ever finds out the truth about our connection,
It'll sever the ties and ruin it all.
I'm just going to keep my mouth shut--
And all over her.

Rescues are wild in the Alaskan terrain. So is romance.

Sun-kissed California guardsman Dan Farnsworth might be at home in the water, but he’s out of his element at remote, rugged, and freezing Staggered Cove Station. Acclimating proves hard enough, but he’s also digging into how the station’s previous rescue swimmer was lost at sea. Was it an operation gone bad or something more sinister? Add to that the instant tension between him and his partner—no-nonsense Alaska-born Karl Radin—and Dan has his hands full.

As his investigation heats up, so does the attraction between Dan and Karl, even if they don’t completely trust each other. But as suspicious events escalate to sabotage, Dan starts to fear that he and Karl won’t get the chance to become more than reluctant coworkers.

Guest Post ~ The Blueprint by S.E. Harmon (Review+Excerpt)

Guest Post ~ The Blueprint by S.E. Harmon  (Review+Excerpt)

Thank you to Bayou Book Junkie for hosting me today! I'm here to talk about my newest release, The Blueprint. I was asked to answer a question regarding my favorite character from my books, and I think I’d have to go with Kelly (although I reserve the right to change my mind 😊 ). The best way I can explain it is to tell you a little story.

There was this guy.

Don’t all stories that make you sigh start that way? To this day, I really can’t tell you what made him so special to me…maybe it was just a combination of all his traits put together. He was nice. Really sweet. Studious and serious. Not really all that funny, but he had a good sense of humor, and I secretly delighted in making him laugh. Just an overall good guy. And the dreamy hazel eyes? Yeah, those didn’t hurt at all.

It was strange phenomena—I hadn’t noticed him for the longest, and then all of a sudden, I couldn’t stop noticing. The way he smiled when he was about to say something clever. The way he was so dedicated to his studies (don’t judge me, I like hot nerds). I knew when he walked in a room without even looking—he would usually come over and sit next to me. Because we were friends. Just friends.

Now if life was a romance novel, I’d end this little story by telling you I wound up with that guy. That he’s my husband of many years and we have 2.5 kids and a couple dogs. That he’s sitting right next to me while I write this blog post, and he’s laughing about how we met.

That didn’t happen.

He’s married with kids and living his life, and I’m sure he never thinks about me at all. And I’ve moved on too. But every now and again, his favorite song from way back when comes on the radio. I’m right back in high school again and just for a moment…just one moment…any ending is possible. I love Kelly’s character because he got his happy ending. Because the person that he loved most in the world loved him right back. And there’s no better story than that.

Happy reading 😊
